In previous versions (at least in AnkiDroid, which I use), the learning cards (those with the number in red) weren’t counted in the daily review limit, so if I set 100 cards/day as review limit I’d have to study all the learnings, plus 100 cards.
In the current version, the learning cards are counted in the limit, so if I set 100 cards/day and have 15 learning cards from the day before I get only 85 cards to review.
Is there a way to turn this off, and get back to limit plus the learning cards?
I don’t think there have been any changes to the card-count logic in some time. If you have leftover Learn/Relearn cards from the day before, they were already counted – so they shouldn’t be counted in today’s review limit.
Are these leftover short-interval cards that weren’t finished the day before? Or do you have long steps that cross the day boundary?
The change happened a few versions ago, not sure how many.
I have long steps that cross the day boundary, I set Anki so that when I get wrong a card it shows again two days later as learning, and those cards are subtracted from the daly review limit as described, while some versions ago (not sure how many, but could be several versions ago) it wasn’t.
