Crash with error KeyError: 'mainWindowState'

Hi everyone, I was setting up Anki when my laptop turned off and when I tried to restart the app it presented me with the following Error message:

An error occurred. Please use Tools > Check Database to see if that fixes the problem.

I have tried redownloading the app but seen no change. I cannot see the Tools tab so I cannot Check Database. Would love some guidance on this. Thanks!

Try Anki → Preferences → Reset Window Sizes

Not sure about macOS, but on Windows you can open the Tools menu by pressing Alt+T

This didn’t work either. Every time I try to open, the error pops up

Resolved- I had to delete anki as well as all supporting files, which I did not do the first time.
