Error messages on opening app, using "browse" or "sync"

Hi!
I keep getting this error message either on trying to open Anki…or if it opens then when I try to do anything in the app. I have been able to add a card twice without getting the error message below but that’s it.
Went through all the trouble shooting and no luck.
I’m trying to install on a brand new computer. It’s on the university network.
Any suggestions??

AttributeError: ‘AnkiQt’ object has no attribute ‘flags’

Does resetting window sizes in the preferences screen help? Are you getting any other different errors?
