Control New Card Batch size

In Anki, is there a way to limit how many new cards appear at once during a study session?

I want to keep my daily new-card limit high (for example, 60 per day), but I don’t want Anki to show me a large batch of new cards back-to-back.

Ideally, I’d like Anki to only introduce a small number of new cards at a time (like 3–5), and then only show additional new cards after I’ve answered some of those correctly or moved them out of the learning phase.

Is there a setting, option, or workaround in Anki that controls how many new cards are introduced at once during a study session, rather than just the total per day?

Use the mixed sort order in the deck options. It’ll interleave review and new cards.

Thank you!
