Cloze cards from shared AnkiHub deck not functioning properly on iOS app

Hello,

I am using a shared deck from AnkiHub, with no issues on the computer versions of Anki (on both windows + mac ios)

However, on my iphone app, the cloze cards do not appear to function properly. The initial question card (Front) appears correct with the appropriate fields […] but when I flip the card only the “Extra” field of the card shows up on the Back. I.e., none of the actual cloze contents are shown on the back.

Again, no issues on the computer apps or the actual ankiweb website.

Probably your best approach would be to talk to the deck author about whether the deck formatting is compatible with iOS.

But this is often a simple background-color/text-color conflict. To check if it’s that you can –

  • Switch to dark/light theme (whichever you’re not using now) and see if the text appears.
  • Touch-drag where the text should be and see if you can select it.
