So this issue quite literally started once I returned from lunch and I have been using anki for 2 years now. I was doing a NEW deck and all the options (1,2,3 or 4) are making the cards disappear. They are not going to the review tab and not going to the review tomorrow on my heat map. all the keys make the blue (new) cards just disappear it seems. My review daily max is 9999 and have never had this issue before with over 2,000 cards done in a day. My current reviews are only like 400ish.
They will show up again on the appropriate counter when they are ready to be studied again. Depending on your Deck Options, Again, Hard, and Good will usually keep a card in Learn – Easy will usually graduate the card to Review.
The most likely reason why your red Learn/Relearn counter is not changing immediately is that your Learn Ahead limit is set too low compared to your learning/relearning steps.
If this just started today, what happened just before that? Did you –
Change your Learn Ahead limit?
Change your learning/relearning steps or switch to a different Deck Options preset?
Install any add-ons that change your settings for you?
Just to clarify – red is Learn/Relearn, green is Review.
I do not believe i changed anything at all today. yes you’re correct, i meant red as in learn. Can you post pictures of your settings or anything I can do so this does not happen?
You don’t need my settings – you need the right settings for you!
Yes, this is easily fixable, but exactly what needs to change depends on the length of your learning/relearning steps [Deck Options] and your Learn Ahead limit [Preferences > Review]. Tell me what you have set for those, and I can tell you what to adjust.
Oh my goodness. I have no idea how I changed it or what happened to that setting but I just set it for 20m because it was on 0m and it fixed everything. Thank you so much!
