i have a big deck and i only wanna study some cards from this deck that i have put tags on. When i try custom study by tags nothing comes up. I have also tried making a filtered deck using the “tag:name Or tag:name” but it just gives me “No cards matched the provided search. Some cards may have been excluded because they are in a different filtered deck, or suspended.” i am giving up soon i have an important test and i am spending all my time trying to get anki to work
You should look for these cards first. Let’s say I have the tag “1,” and you can see from the minus sign that it’s somewhere in the filtered deck, so you need to remove it from there first.
Custom Study is one way to make a Filtered Deck. But if you’re not seeing the results you expect, it’s often easier to build your search filter in the Browse window first, so you know what cards you’ll get. That can help answer questions like – Are there any tags used in that deck? Are the cards suspended? Are the cards already in another Filtered/Custom Study Deck?
Once you have your filter figured out, you can click Edit > Create Filtered Deck from there.
Are you using the full tag name – like tag:parent::subtag::subtag – or just part of it?

hi thanks,this fixed it so i can add 2 tags on filtered decks atleast, but how do i add more than 2?
i am not using any subtags, but i have three different tags i wanna use. But it only seems to work when i use 2. i type the full tag name and use OR between it works with 2 but when i add 3 tags it stops

Maybe some things need to be put in quotation marks. Try reading here and using the search function. Unfortunately, no one really reads the help.
