Can't find deletion log / deleted.txt file

I deleted some cards on accident through the empty cards. I realized this after I synced and created new cards. I tried to find the deleted.txt file and read the anki manual on backups but I’m stuck. I can’t find this file on my windows pc
Any tips?

It should be under C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Anki2\User 1.

Instead of using deleted.txt, I recommend importing a backup from the “backups” folder to a separate folder, exporting the cards from there, then importing them to your main profile.

There is no appdata under my username. And I have gone through each folder under my username. Could it be somewhere else?

AppData exists, but is hidden by default in the File Explorer.

To make it appear, select the View menu, then Show / Hidden Items
