I am on Windows 11 (latest version) with NVIDIA RTX 3090 using Anki 25.09.4.
The light theme results in the browser view window having a dark background for the top menu bar and the sidebar bar. The sidebar icons and menu bar text remains black in color, so it is illegible against the black background. The sidebar text is white in color, so it is readable, at least.
Previous versions didn’t have this issue, so i think this might be a new bug.
I tried new install, tried different versions of the renderer, updated my graphics card driver etc. None of them fixed the issue.
Can you sent a screenshot of it?
Have you gone through the Troubleshooting Checklist? For this you should start with #2 safe mode and #6 video drivers.
25.09.4 is a security patch on a version that came out 9 months ago, so it’s unlikely that a change in the app led to this issue. But just in case – when did you update to 25.09.4? What version were you using before that?
NVIDIA cards/drivers are notorious for changing in ways that cause issues with Anki. If updating that driver didn’t help, you might need to try rolling it back.
Ah I’m stupid. I tried getting rid of all the addons and trying again, and that fixed the issue. The Interactive Heatmap addon was the problem (1782362167)
Please report that to the add-on developer as well, so they know there’s an issue.
