Blank Window and Permission Problems

Version 25.07.5, fresh install on Windows 10.

There are the File, Edit, View, Tools, Help sections, but nothing else. No add-ons.

Sometimes the main window does not pop out at all, and the following debug info is given.

PermissionError: [WinError 5] Access is denied.

Deleted all Anki-related files and reinstalled multiple times, no change. Trying this does not help. Changing the video driver and going through steps in the troubleshooting page do not help. When using the Vulkan video driver the blank window simply does not appear.

I didn’t find anything identical in the forum. (maybe I didn’t search hard enough)

For some reason, after downgrading again (to 25.02.6) the problem was solved. (I tried downgrading at first but somehow it didn’t work)

Still curious why 25.07.5 didn’t work though.
