I am using AnkiMobile on iPad, using cloze deletion cards with the back of the cards having additional text and images.
However, when I tap the card to flip it to the answer, anki automatically scrolls all the way to the bottom of the card and it’s really annoying because I can’t see anything else, such as the original question or the top of the answer/back. If I want to, I have to scroll manually using my finger, however it’s a struggle because the screen actively fights back and tries to scroll down. How can I fix this?
I’m pretty sure on Apple devices you can tap the top right corner to automatically scroll to the top of the page in any app–Anki included.
I just tested this with my iPhone with a plain text card and it does indeed scroll back up to the top. I’m unsure of cloze deletion. Either way I hope this helped. It’s not a permanent solution but it serves as a temporary fix.
Folks sometimes see issues like this when they are using a remote/gamepad – you didn’t mention that, so I’ll assume that isn’t you.
The next thing to look at would be your note type and card templates. If you’ve got a custom note type with scripts, frames, etc., they might be overriding Anki’s default – which is to scroll to the <hr id=answer> line.
