I try to record my own voice using the microphone icon of Anki. I have a Philips SpeechMike III. KWave records my voice properly. When I press the microphone icon no error appears but after searching the audio files in the media folder they have no waveform, as if nothing was recorded. I also have mpv player installed.
I am using the latest Anki Qt6 version in Arch Linux
Could you check out the troubleshooting guide for Arch Linux’s wiki on microphone usage? I don’t think this is on Anki’s side, but on the audio usage that is dependent on Anki

Did you try both the qt5 and qt6 versions of Anki?

I now tried with Qt5 and it works with no problems. I would like to take advantage of the modern Qt6 features though 
Ok, that implies an issue with Qt6’s recording functionality. You could try reproducing the issue in a sample app. Report an issue to Qt · Issue #2652 · ankitects/anki · GitHub
