I’ve encountered an issue with Anki Mobile related to audio playback, and I’m not sure if it’s a bug or if I’ve missed a setting.
Description of the Issue:
• Normally, audio doesn’t play automatically on my cards, which is how I want it to be.
• However, when I connect headphones, the audio starts playing automatically for the same cards.
• Even worse, it plays the audio twice: once for the front side and once for the back side of the card.
This is quite frustrating, as I would prefer the audio to remain manual even when using headphones.
What I’ve Tried:
• Checked and confirmed that my settings haven’t changed.
• Reproduced the issue multiple times to ensure consistency.
Is this a known bug, or is there a workaround to prevent automatic playback with headphones?
When your phone is set to mute/vibrate, iOS will prevent audio from automatically playing from the speaker unless ‘autoplay in silent mode’ is enabled. It does not affect autoplay when you have earphones in, since that won’t bother others. If you never want audio to be played automatically, you need to enable the ‘don’t play audio automatically’ option.
To ensure the audio doesn’t play twice, make sure the field with the sound tag is not included on the back card template.
but I don’t what the sound to be played automatically.
I want it to be only played when pressed R.
But it keeps playing the sound automatically despite the settings being like mentioned. And the auto sound is played only while the headphones are connected…
