Asking Cards Randomly from a Deck with subdecks

I am organizing cards in subdecks inside a deck. I would like to study the full set of cards randomly. I study the root deck and Anki does start allways from the same subdeck and asks one by one until this gets finished and moves then to next.

Is there a way to get this random studding behavior in a root deck?

If you’re using scheduler 3:

  • Browser > Select all cards in the deck > Reposition > Randomize order

Then,

  • Deck Options > New card Gather Order > Ascending
