okay thanks! I uploaded from iOS to ankiweb instead of the opposite which I think is the reason for the deletion

  • Do you sync multiple devices with AnkiWeb or just that one?
  • How long had it been since you synced those devices with AnkiWeb?

If a server-side backup is available (and it isn’t always), you won’t get to choose which date it’s from, so using the collection backups you have access to on your devices is usually best for restoring. Or did you have changes that were only on AnkiWeb and had never been synced to any device?

I can restore your AnkiWeb collection to a week ago, but you’ll lose anything done after that date. Please let me know if you wish me to proceed.
