Ich habe die letzten Jahre eine ältere Version von Anki benutzt, war mir aber sicher, dass das Programm mit meinem Account verbunden war. Meine Festplatte ist kaputtgegangen, weshalb ich heute zum ersten mal die Synchronisierung auf einem anderen Laptop ausprobiert habe. Beim Einloggen in den Anki Account wird mir nichts angezeigt. Ich bin mir aber sicher, dass jedes mal, wenn ich das Programm geschlossen hatte, eine Synchronisierung stattgefunden hat. Aktuell weiß ich noch nicht, ob meine Festplatte repariert werden kann. Sind die Ankis damit auch verloren?
I can see the AnkiWeb account using the email address you used to post here. It was created in 2021, but has been inactive since mid-2023 (until today).
Is it possible you have been using a different AnkiWeb account (different email address) to sync? Then you just need to figure out what email address it is connected to –
Check any other device(s) you have used Anki on – you’ll see your account email address in Preferences > Syncing.
Check your email accounts for confirmation messages you would have received from ankiweb.net.
After your account was inactive for 6+ months, the data was removed from our servers. That usually means that all server-side backups are removed too, but in your account there is one remaining – from 23 June 2023. That’s obviously a very outdated version of your collection, but you might want to have that just in case you’re not able to recover something else.
I can restore that to this AnkiWeb account, but it will overwrite anything you have there now. Please confirm if you want me to restore that to your account.
Between June 2023 and October 2024 I didn’t use Anki.. since I read, that after 6 months my account would be deleted, I was surprised to find everything the way it was when I opened the application last year. I’m pretty sure I didn’t change my email address oder anything… I just kept using the program and everytime I closed it, a “syncing” sign would pop up, so that’s why I was so surprised to finding nothing at all there.
I’ll have my laptops data base checked tomorrow, so they hopefully will be able to recover some data and maybe also my latest version of anki, if it was not saved on my anki web account but locally.
If they don’t find anything, I’d be very grateful to at least get the version of 2023. I’d write you another email in that case, if that’s alright.
