Ankiweb not syncing with Ankidroid

Good afternoon!!

I use AnkiWeb and the Anki app on my laptop at the same time. Usually, when I click sync, the Anki app version updates with the AnkiWeb version, and the cards I created in the app are transferred to AnkiWeb.

However, lately, my AnkiWeb has been out of date. I’ve tried everything I could think of. I’ve moved it and turned it back on, clicked sync in the app, and refreshed the page.

Can you please tell me how I can sync AnkiWeb with the app version?

I use AnkiWeb on my phone to review throughout the day, please help me, haha.

Try Force full sync in Settings > Advanced, then choose which one you want to keep

You can’t initiate a sync from within AnkiWeb. If you want AnkiDroid and Anki desktop to sync, you need to initiate the sync there. Instead of forcing a full sync (and risking data loss), make sure you’ve tried syncing on those devices. If you get any errors, tell us what those are.

I always try to sync through the Anki app. Usually, when I click on the sync app, my AnkiWeb automatically syncs.

However, my problem is that lately I’ve been doing what I always do: clicking sync in Ankidroid, and nothing changes in AnkiWeb.

  • Does the sync in AnkiDroid appear to complete successfully?
  • Are you getting any error messages?
  • Have you checked Settings > Sync to make sure you’re syncing with the correct AnkiWeb account?
