Hello! I’ve been an avid user of Anki throughout my medical school journey, and I love it. The AnkiMobile app for reviewing and syncing my cards has been a wonderful companion to the Mac version. However, I have recently replaced my Mac with an iPad with Magic Keyboard and have found that the card browser on the AnkiMobile app is significantly different and fairly limited compared to its desktop counterparts. I know nothing about coding, so I don’t know how feasible it is to make a similar experience possible on the iPad, but with the recent changes to iPadOS, including multi-window support, better trackpad and keyboard support, a toolbar at the top of windows, etc., it seems like the AnkiMobile app could be a prime candidate to take advantage of all of those new features. I don’t know if anything is feasible, but being able to view tags/decks in a sidebar with a collapsible tree format would go a long way for those of us with massive card libraries and tags too numerous to count. I don’t know if any of this is possible, but I just thought I’d give some feedback on the amazing program and app that has allowed me to excel in school beyond what I thought was possible.

Work is already ongoing to integrate the desktop browser/editor into the mobile apps. I think that will satisfy most of your asks – but these things take time. Browser improving - #3 by dae
