Ankidroid tags (IO tags)

I originally wrote this on the anki reddit and was told to post it here as well. It is my first time, so if I make any mistakes my apologies.

Is there a way you can keep tags on image occlusion like the way you can for other other card types?
The only way I can do it is by the tag option on the top left of the image occlusion menu each time individually, rather than select tags options that stays on the normal ankidroid card editor page.

Is there a fix to this? I’ve searched Google and could not find any answers.

I’m not sure which menu you’re talking about. Are you adding tags when creating a IO note but the tag isn’t attached to the note?

Hi, I’ve had a brief look into this, and we need the ability to set tags upstream in Anki Desktop, so the ‘tags’ field in the Image Occlusion screen may be pre-populated with a set of tags.

I believe this would be done here, and is not yet implemented:

So I believe we need an upstream (Anki Desktop) change for this to be possible

What I mean is when you make a card ( for example basic type) the tags you place in tag section remain there until you exit the card editor. In ankidroid, that doesn’t happen in image occlusion type cards on ankidroid but works on desktop.
I hope,I managed to express myself and if not my apologizes I’m not all too familiar with the technical terms.
