Hi Damien, I hope you are well. I am currently running Version 2.1.54 (b6a7760c) Python 3.9.7 Qt 6.3.1 PyQt 6.3.1 on a Mac with an M1 chip and I am encountering an issue with zoom. I understand that zoom is now built into Anki, however, whenever I try to zoom in, it does not reformat the content of my card to fit within the boundaries of my screen. This makes it really annoying and difficult to use. I am simply wondering if this is normal or if there is something I can do to alleviate this issue. @dae
Works for me - maybe your card template’s styling is doing something unusual?
Hey Damien, can you look into this issue again? I am using the AnKing deck, and it works fine on my non-M1 chip Macbook Pro, on my M1 desktop, I can pinch to zoom in but Command + or Command - does not do anything, and I cannot seem to figure out why.
Anki has no built-in shortcut keys to adjust the zoom.
Hey Damien, I understand, I am not sure how that shortcut was programmed into the Anki on my laptop. Likely through the Custom Shortcuts Add-On, however, when I try to configure that Add-On to add a shortcut for zooming in on my M1 mac, there seems to be no place for me to do so. I increased the user interface size to 150% but that still does not solve the issue. Do you have any advice for me?
@dae How do you zoom in on your Anki?
Via the View menu.
Okay great that works well for me, do you know of any way to add a shortcut so I can zoom in and out just using Command + and Command -? I do not see how to do in the configuration for the Customize Anki Shortcuts Addon
If you ask the add-on author, they may be able to add support for it.
