Anki won;t sync- too large of a media file

I tried to duplicate the anki king deck by exporting + importing it as a txt file but it didnt work so i ended up deleting both but now i wam trying to re-download Anki-King and my anki is so back logged it won’t sync. what can i do? i have no problem with deleting everything and re-downloading stuff but I don’t know how to do that

  1. Start with running Tools > Check Media and deleting all unused media. (This is safe to do even though your collection is going through some transitions right now. Those files will only be moved to a non-syncing folder, and they will still be retrievable if you need them when the dust settles.) You’ve got over 12 GB of media in your account, so that should help.
  2. Hopefully that will get rid of the one oversized/unsync-able file, but if it doesn’t you’ll need to figure out what that file is and whether it’s necessary. (Let us know if you need help with that.) I don’t think any of the main AnKing decks have media files that exceed the size limit.
  1. There’s rarely any good reason to duplicate a deck in your collection. If you want to say more about what you were trying to accomplish with that, we might be able to help you get to your actual goal.
