for long time i was thinking about creating an add-on that give to anki a good note organizing abilities , but i didn’t got the time , so i thought that it gonna be better to share it here , maybe some addon developers get interested on it
so the main goal of this add on is to be able to write your notes on the same window and by using a special syntax you can create a cloze deletion note or a basic note without changing the note type in the editor , it’s like the same idea with Remnote or other app that adopt the same principles
you can also add an image then add image occlusions into it from the same editor and without changing the note type
this gonna give the user better view of what he is adding , and the notes gonna be more readable and well organised into folders and subfolders
It’s like a new way to add cards and notes to anki , you write your notes into the same page and the addon will make cards based on using specified syntax
For example if you want a basic card :
You write you text normally like any other text editor app but when use the specific syntax → the add on make a basic card
Anki is a flashcards app and it … bla bla bla
[Pictures] [Infos]…etc
What is anki ? → it’s a flashcards app
[Infos] … etc
It’s have been developed by [[damien elmes]] in 2006
… etc
In the example above we wrote a text And by adding the → and [] , we created two cards , A close deletion card and a basic one We can keep writing our notes and creating cards into the same window , without changing note type I hope u got me
we can just start by making the notes don’t disappear after we add them , like you scroll up to find them , and by time we can add more and more functionalities , like editing them from the add window ==> then we add the folders and sub folders functionality … etc , step by step this project gonna be a game changer on how users add notes . we can even make it integrated into anki if @dae wanted to
