Anki network error sending request for url ()

I am trying to sync my Anki on my Mac book and it is coming up saying error sending request for url (): erro trying to connect: dns error: failed to look up address info: nodename nor servname provided, or not known

At first, I thought it might be blocked on the wifi, as I am working at a school where some sites eg- Netflix are blocked. However, I do have a good wifi connection, and my ipad and phone can sync to Anki just fine on the same network. I read the FAQs and other similar posts, which talk of firewalls and proxies, none of which I have enabled. I tried reinstalling the app, which didn’t fix it. So I am stuck not knowing how to resolve it- any help would be really appreciated!! Thanks!

If other devices can sync on the same connection, it’s probably something on this device. When you were checking things, did that include antivirus software and VPNs (including iCloud private relay, which is really just a VPN)? Error establishing a secure connection when syncing - Anki FAQs
