Laptops may require a different installer; see this message:

Getting the above error while clicking on the link

I’m fine. What country are you opening the link from?

India

That’s what I thought. It happens there, like power outages and things going down. But if you’re using a VPN, there are glitches too.
You should check access to the website https://github.com/

Let’s wait for the Anki developers; they sometimes respond. I’d try different packages, since I don’t know what laptop you have or what’s compatible with it. Although, if it’s already running, it should be clear. It’s possible that something is dependent on the internet during installation, and it’s trying to download but can’t.

Thank you for your help till now, want to use it as soon as possible as used to be.

Do you see the issue if you uninstall the previous version of Anki manually first (from Settings > Apps > Installed apps)?

not able to uninstall as you said when i checking from settings> apps> installed apps.

When I was trying to troubleshoot my own issue, I simply created a new administrator-level user on the system and installed Anki under that username. I determined that the new username was installing Anki, which obviously meant the problem was in the old username’s files, and I was already struggling. Of course, I also had a virtual Windows 11 system running, so I checked everything there and made sure everything was working properly. It’s complicated. Errors are piling up on my own, too, and I just found a bug that’s been going on for four months now, slowing everything down. The beta 2 version of Anki isn’t working perfectly for me either: sometimes it doesn’t display the deck list, and sometimes the preview is blank. It’s hard to pinpoint and figure out what’s wrong. I even ran it as an administrator, and something seems odd, but when I run it from the console, it works reliably and the problem disappears.

Do you see the error if you choose this option and install Anki to "C:\Program Files\Anki"?

If you don’t have adminstrator administrator access, try installing to a different folder from “C:\Users\ramku\OneDrive”. I suspect this has something to due with OneDrive.

Please let us know more about this in the beta thread (assuming changing the Video Driver option didn’t help).

still like this even if i tried install at “C:\Program Files\Anki”

To confirm, this is beta 2 not 1, right?

anki-26.05b2-win-x64.msi

Can you download this batch script, copy it to the same folder where the .msi file is located and run it? Gofile - Cloud Storage Made Simple

After the same error is shown, you should see a file named install.log in the same folder. Please upload that file to https://gofile.io/ and post the link here.
