I’ve been trying to install Anki on my work MacBook, and I’ve run into a roadblock. The new installer seems to require the terminal, and my corporate firewall is blocking it.
Has anyone else dealt with this? Is there a workaround to get the new version of Anki working? Or is there a way to get a direct application file download like in previous versions?
In a way, yes. If you can build Anki from source on another computer, then you won’t need the launcher; you should then be able to move the files you just built to your work computer.
Thanks, I tried this. I copied the application file from my personal Mac, and I got the same installation terminal window when I ran it on my work computer.
