Anki cards not showing up

My Anki cards I created on my computer windows 11 and when pushing the browse button I see them but they do not show up in the deck on the home page? I think it must be a setting problem?? Jeff

Danika, I am learning Eastern Armenian. The original deck from the first day had only 7 flash cards. Yesterday, on my Desktop Windows computer, I am using the Anki app and added another 50 flash cards. I did this by selecting my deck, then pushing the add button which and after each card was done, I pushed the add button. So in the browse section, I have 57 cards. But in the deck, I have the same number of cards, 7. And those 7 cards, sync with other devices fine. For a while I swear I was able to see my new cards on my cell phone yesterday but today I only see the original seven. I did review your response. It was informative but I think I am still lost in this fix. Thanks, Jeff

Let’s start from the top and check a few different things –

  1. Are the apps that you’re using all ones that you can find from the main Anki site – https://apps.ankiweb.net/ ? Anki on Windows, AnkiMobile Flashcards for iOS, AnkiDroid for Android.
  2. If you’ve set up syncing on both devices, let’s make sure they are fully synced – sync on your computer, then on your phone, and then on your computer again.
  3. Now on your phone, instead of looking at the Decks list, look at that app’s version of the Browse window – :mag: Browse on iOS, Card browser on Android. Can you see all 57 cards there?

If all of that checks out – then your cards are there on both devices. The first link I sent you explained why the Decks list would only be showing you some of the cards that you’ve created on the blue/red/green counters. It’s only counting the Review cards that are due today (that you haven’t studied yet), and a certain number of New cards based on how many you said you want to see.

Danka, My daughter found that the options for this deck had selected bury cards. It now works well. Jeff
