I was having some issues with my Anki desktop app so I deleted it and wanted to redownload it. I tried downloading multiple versions of it but after I run the installer and it says completed, the app does not show up anywhere on my computer. I saw on the FAQs of the AnkiWeb website that this has been a common issue especially on Windows laptops and it gave a few things to try but none of those helped me. I am currently having to use an older version of anki on a different device where some of my more recent add-ons and settings are not the same so any help to fix this issue would be really appreciated!
After you run the Anki installer, you should find an Anki icon on your desktop, and the app should be in c:\program files\anki
