Anki 25.02.1: bug when clicking 'Show answer'

OS: Fedora 42 with GNOME
I am not using the Fedora Anki packages or a flatpak. I’m using the official Linux version.

Since I upgraded to latest Anki, I have noticed an issue that occasionally happens when I click on show answer. It will show the answer of the previous card and not the current one. It doesn’t happen often at all, but before it never happened.

I’ve also noticed that it seems “laggier” with redrawing at times, but I think that may be a nVidia/Wayland issue.

For showing the wrong card – Troubleshooting Checklist #6 is your best bet – Troubleshooting - Anki Manual .

For the other issues – make sure to take a look at: Linux - Anki Manual .

Okay, I think I’ve figured it out. It’s simply a redrawing issue. If I maximize/demaximize the window, I get the correct text. I’m quite sure the culprit is to be found among GNOME, Wayland and Qt6.

How do I mark a topic as resolved?

You can mark your comment as an answer (there should be a button with a checkmark saying something like “solution”)
