Thanks for the beta!
I’m reporting a slight issue on the latest macOS.
When switching languages in the edit window, specifically English to Korean or Korean to English, the first keystroke after switching languages is ignored. I didn’t have this problem in the 24.11 beta.
@comienzo2093 Seems similar to
Does it happen on Caps lock as well?
I am able to consistently get this view.
Steps to reproduce: Click on switch profiles and then select a (particular) profile. It does this every time but the thing is, it works only for a particular profile. No clue whether it’ll work for everybody. (MacOS)
Edit: This was already mentioned by @Anon_0000, didn’t know about it. Anki zooms out after awaking laptop from sleep - #17 by Anon_0000
Hi all,
A release candidate for 25.01 is now available. Please let us know how you go.
Suggestion: add a globe next to “Optimize all”. Currently, it’s not clear what “all” refers to in this context. A globe would help. A little.
I still think that it should be called “Optimize all presets”. If it’s under “Optimize current” anyway, then there is enough horizontal space.
I am still experiencing this bug, even though the issue has been marked as ‘completed’: Editor: divs with attributes are not deleted · Issue #3766 · ankitects/anki · GitHub

although idk if i didn’t noticed before, but now the letter appear with a slight delay
Doing double caps lock had consistent results
The “Discard?”-Popup when closing the deck options without saving has a scuffed “Yes” button, in both the beta and release candidate.
Don’t think I have noticed that before 25.01, but I’m not certain.
This works on debian sid (using rc):
Whatever OS Oromit seems to be using doesn’t include the icons on the buttons either.
Also, if the desired retention field doesn’t have a % symbol, then it makes sense to rename “Desired retention” to “Desired retention (%)”
The desired retention in the deck options is now in percent (default value 90). However, in the card stats diagram, in the tooltip, the desired retention is still shows as 0.9. This is confusing, because it differs from the value that has been set in the deck options, and also because it differs from the y-axis description of the very same diagram.
In the rc – 25.01 (b65fa693) – there is a new visual bug.
Tested with debian sid in a vm.
Steps to reproduce
- Run
anki --safemode
- Go to stats.
- Reduce the stats window width as much as possible.
- Scroll down to the very bottom of the stats window.
- Double click the title bar of the stats window to maximize it (or on my debian machine with gnome Super+ArrowUp, or use the maximize button in the title bar).
- The stats window now appears to be blank:
It’s not actually blank though. If you scroll up, everything is still there.
Using the English locale, the stats windows in 25.01RC1 takes more horizontal space than in 24.11 (it cannot be resized horizontally as it could in 24.11).
Does anyone have problem with discarding changes of presets?
Linux - Using linux archive in github release
1- Open preset
2- Modify the settings
3- Try to close the preset settings page
4- Ask for discard and click yes
5- It doesn’t close the preset window
Was able to reproduce, made a comment in the relevant pr
On win 10, it seems to happen when hovering over yes, or sometimes when the modal loses focus
on main, when hovering over yes:
on main:
on 24.11:
It’s probably a Qt issue. I noticed it before in some dialogs and add-ons.
On my computer, the issue only seems to occur when using “Anki” as the style for the interface. If I go to the Console > Qt widget gallery and set the style to “Native” (which in my case corresponds to Fusion) the issue seems to disappear.
Would like to retract this bug report, seems like this is affecting outside of Anki and is most likely an problem on MacOS end (Tested with all video drivers on anki, but this bug is present on all)
Tested on brave browser, terminal and settings
