Allow the use of links in deck/addon comments

I would like to make a suggestion to allow the use of links or images in deck and addon comments, because when I send the link, it is in text format and sometimes the user is a layman and does not know this, so I have to tell him that he has to copy the link and paste it into the browser.

Sometimes the user asks a question in the comment and the best way to answer is by sending an image or link so that he can understand it more easily.

If it is not possible to allow images, links in the form of clickable links would be interesting, because then the user only has to click on it and the image will open.

I can see some drawbacks of allowing this in comments but should be in author replies, agreed.

Ideally: Comments on the add-on page are for ratings, so if you want to use images or links use the ‘Contact Author’, e.g. issues on Github or AnkiForums etc.

Reality: Yep, despite a lot of “Contact Author” display, most users report via ratings (even if the author warns about it in capitals).

A user who can install and use Anki and addons but doesn’t know about copying and pasting links. Interesting use case.

I’ve seen a deck author who didn’t know this until I told them in comments how to do it.
