I am using Anki on the laptop and recently set my Easy Days setting to be Reduced on Wednesday. It successfully reduced my card load on Wednesdays. But now, I want to change it back to be full load on every day so that my card load isn’t worse on other days. I changed the setting back to be Normal every day, but the card load is still reduced on Wednesdays. Any idea of how I can address this? I’ve tried downloading and redownloading fsrs, but also don’t want to mess with my retention too much. Any help is appreciated.
That is not possible; FSRS is an algorithm baked into the anki app. If you actually meant FSRS here instead of the Anki app, please describe in detail what you did.
That makes sense. See Deck Options - Anki Manual. Especially this sentence is relevant:
Changing your Easy Days configuration doesn’t retroactively change existing intervals and will only affect future intervals. Simply put, you will not see immediate changes in the number of due cards.
You will have to continue to study normally. Over time, the due dates adjust and the distribution of due cards becomes similar to the other days again.
You can use the FSRS Helper add-on’s “Apply easy days now” feature to adjust to a new easy-days schedule immediately.
