Adding a simple (optional) confetti effect on completion

From what I can tell, this feature has been somewhat requested before. However, this is often alongside a slew of other “Gamification” requests. I’m not really interested in having Ankidroid be bloated with gamification or really even gamified at all, but I do think people would like this specific suggested addition.

I think it would be awesome if a little confetti effect played when you complete your cards. I know that Canvas and a few other (non-gamified) educational apps have this already (e.g. when you submit an assignment on time), and there’s a reason there’s like 10 different add-ons that do this on the Desktop version haha

Why I’m suggesting it be added directly to Ankidroid, is that there is no good equivalent to those desktop add-ons. Plus, a theoretical plugin for this seems almost overkill. Moreover, an alternative solution could be to just have more user-control over the completion pop-up, but a solution like that seems more complex.

I feel a good amount of people would like the addition of an optional confetti effect. It would play on the main menu when you complete a set of daily cards, or when you click on a completed deck! It’s a fun, minimal celebration to help motivate people. Moreover, it could be off by default, so it does not interfere with low-power devices (and again optional for people who don’t want it). There is already a little pop-up message that appears right when this would trigger. With this, users would now have an option to play a confetti effect with it too!

Life is hard, so why not have a small (optional) celebration of a daily achievement?

Example of the effect would be like: confettijs. (I can’t link it sorry!)

Although the origin point could be like the top or bottom of the screen. It doesn’t necessarily need to be tied to an element like it is on that example button on their website

There’s no need to repost: Confetti effect on Completion (Deleted) .

Sorry, I was very tired and left a ton of grammatical errors on that one. I was trying to delete it and redo it but it stayed up
