I am studying french portugues and spanish, using cloze cards. Hence I need to type many different accents: grave and acute, circumflex, cedilla, tilde…
I would like an add-on that allows for a series of buttons to be pressed to easily insert the desired letter, like in the picture below. It seems to be a simple yet effective idea, but I can’t find anything similar.
Would any of you be able to develop it, or to suggest an alternative?
There are multiple different methods working globally. I would recommend an external application like this Compose

Would this happen when you create the cards and it shows the word in legend format (on the editing screen), or when you are reviewing the cards and have to type the word that is inside the field?
I don’t like to use combination of keys with Compose, as it is not always intuitive and easy to use on every keyboard.
I used AI and I managed to build an add-on that works for me. If someone else is interested I can put it here, though I won’t improve it to make it publicly available. It is just as fine as I need.
Exactly, valid both for reviewing with cloze, and for adding/editing. I wrote one with AI and I am satisfied with this result
