8BitDo remote question

Hello I just had a questions regarding using the 8BitDo remote with AnKing overhaul note type. I have my remote connected to my iPad, but was wondering if anyone knew how to get it set up to be able to use the one-by-one cloze deletion style cards like you can on mac. Didn’t see an option in the iPad app to customize that button so was wondering if anyone had a solution, or if it is not possible.

There was a previous discussion on this where the AnKing himself responded, but no specific answer was mentioned…

If the author of the template makes that functionality available to JS (you’ll need to ask them), then it can be accessed via the “User Action” action Study Tools - AnkiMobile Manual

If you have the Anking Note Types add-on you can specify particular user actions within the add-on that can then be tied to a remote.

For example:

Then just program a given button on your remote to ‘user action 1’.

About as simple as that.
