2.1.50: Zooming in while reviewing results in an unusably huge deck list

When I zoom in on cards while reviewing (in order to see the text more easily and review comfortably), the deck list becomes huge. I have to reset the zoom every time I use the deck list, and zoom in again when I review.

I suggest having two zoom values: one for the deck list (and the ‘Congratulations’ message) and one for the cards. Anki Zoom used to offer this feature, but it breaks on 2.1.50.

See the following screen capture (no add-ons). Zooming in is done with ctrl+scroll.

Thank you

I agree that it would be more intuitive if the deck browser and the reviewer had separate zoom factors.
However, if you use zoom for more than temporarily enlarging part of a card, there’s likely a styling issue. The card in your screencast seems to use a tiny font size for no good reason.

Yeah, I just made the basic font size larger and it looks much better.

And thanks for the work you do on Anki (‘thanks to Rumo’ in the changelog…) :blossom:

I see Rumo’s point, but I use different zoom levels for different decks, depending on whether there are sometimes pictures or the cards are fuller or less full, and can adjust it quickly and easily by zooming. I also use Ankidroid and as far as I’ve noticed the font size also affects the size on the smartphone.

So I would find separate zooms very useful.

Are you aware of the .mobile class, allowing you to specify styling for mobile devices? See this section of the documentation.
