Why are only 404 out of 454 Anki cards exported?

My Anki deck contains 454 cards (or so it says at the top when I click “Browse”), but when I export the deck, Anki says “420 notes exported.” Does this mean that I will still get all 454 cards back when I import the exported deck?

For example, If I have notes like:

“Yesterday I ate {{c1::a banana}} with {{c2::peanut butter}}.”

Since this is one note but contains both c1 and c2, does Anki treat this as two separate cards when reviewing, even though it is only one note?

So, in general, can 420 exported notes result in 454 cards after importing the deck again?

Sorry if this isn’t the right category to post this in - I wasn’t sure where else to post it.

Yes. You can try it and see for yourself.

Make sure you understand the difference (and relationship) between notes and cards.

You can switch the Browse window to “Notes” mode to see how many notes that set of cards was created from. Browsing - Anki Manual
