I’m using Anking, and when I browse the various decks to unsuspend/search for cards, I’ve noticed that there are a lot of cards highlighted different colours. I’ve figured out that yellow means suspended and orange is buried, but what does this pink colour mean?

That looks like Red flag to me. Browsing - Anki Manual
You can check by comparing it to the flag colors you see in the sidebar. [Suspended and buried will also match the color in the sidebar.] Red-flagged cards will return when you search for flag:1, and show up with a Red flag in the corner when you Preview them.
