Weird due column sort behavior

Hi,

For some reason Anki browser listing gets into a state where due column sorting behaves like this:

sortdue

If I restart Anki, the sorting works normally, e.g. “New #0” is first and “New #4” last, and vice versa.

Which version are you using? (can be found in Help / About menu)

Also, are you using any add-ons? You can temporarily turn off add-ons as described in the Troubleshooting - Anki Manual checklist.

Anki v23.12.1.

Addons don’t appear to make a difference. Disabled all and still happens.

Can you provide a list of steps I can take with your AnkiWeb collection to reproduce the problem?

thanks for sharing…Addons don’t appear to make a difference. Disabled all and still happens.

Thank you

Think I figured out how to reproduce this with minimal steps. It’s the Reposition feature.

Just reposition something and the repositioned card won’t ever respect the sort order of due column, until Anki is restarted.

No, you don’t need to restart. Any changes made to cards is reflected in the columns, but not in the search order, until you search again.
