Checked relevant posts, they do not help me with the issue.
I flagged certain cards with flag 6/dark purple in 2 decks (one I made myself and the other is the AnKing Overhaul deck) because they cover material I want to focus on for the next few days. I went to the flag menu, saw all the cards under the flag 6/dark purple menu, selected all of them (ctrl+a) and added a tag “gobble” (just something unique so it won’t get mixed up with another tag). There were about 800 cards with flag 6, but an Anki popup said only about 600 got the ‘gobble’ tag added. Why is this happening? I tried with other randomly named tags but it is still only adding the same number of cards, 600 something. Please help me, I’m really down to the wire. thank you
Flags are applied to cards, but Tags are applied to notes. Adding/Editing - Anki Manual [But first, make sure you understand the difference between cards and notes.]
It sounds like there are only ~600 unique notes represented in that flagged set of ~800 cards – so some of those cards must be siblings to each other.
