"Unable to open database" appearing at the start

I’m getting the message “Unable to open database” appearing at the start. I’ve done the usual things like “check database”, “check media”

I’m using a Mac (intel) I’m on the very latest version (I’ve tried both).

What does this message mean? Certainly there is no problem accessing media files when reviewing.

Is this a problem though considering everything “seems” to be running fine?

If the issue is caused by an add-on, you’ll need to ask the add-on author.
