Type in answer template for front and back

Hello,

I’m currently studying drug names and I want to make it so that my deck allows me to type both the brand and generic name inversely when studying cards (currently I’m only typing in the brand name). Is there a way to do this without having to manually create new cards with the information swapped? Or an option where anki creates the same cards in the deck but just has the information on the front and backed swapped. I would prefer to have this all in one deck but if theres a way to move all the cards to another deck with the information simply swapped that would work as well.

You can do this by adding another card type to your note type – Getting Started - Anki Manual . Once you do that, Anki will make that additional card for every note that uses your note type.

Because of the way type-answer fields work, yours might not be as simple as Add Card Type and then Flip – Card Templates - Anki Manual – but it will be pretty close and just need a little fine tuning – Field Replacements - Anki Manual .
