Troubleshooting: No cards up for review

I am using both the Biblical Hebrew Vocabulary (Schwarz-Groves WHV) deck. It only gives me new cards. No cards show up for review, no matter that I select Difficult. My Greek deck works fine.

I took a look at your collection synced to AnkiWeb, and in your Hebrew deck, you’ve only introduced 2 cards so far (your daily limit is 1). One of them is in Learn, and the other isn’t due for another couple weeks.

Right. It does not show up that I have learned hundreds of cards and that I have several that need review.

That review history isn’t in this collection. Your other deck has hundreds of introduced cards but not this one. If you think you’ve somehow lost/deleted review history, that’s a bigger question. We’d need more details to help you with that, like –

  • Where did you do those reviews? This same collection/profile/AnkiWeb account, or another? In regular decks or Filtered/Custom Study decks?
  • How long ago did you study those cards?
  • What has changed between then and now?

Over the past few months I have reviewed about eight cards a day in the Hebrew deck. I do not know why they do not show up as having been reviewed.

I do both decks on my Android phone. I do the same thing with Greek as I do with Hebrew. I don’t know what the difference is that one shows up as having been done and the other does not. But it’s been happening the entire time over the last few months. I didn’t really understand until I started getting to Hebrew words that I didn’t know so well and they weren’t showing up again.

  1. Is your Android collection fully synced to AnkiWeb right now? Do you use the same email address for that account that you used to post here (because that’s the account I looked at)?

  2. Do you have good sync habits – which means syncing when you open the app on a device, and when you close/leave the app on that device, every time?

  3. Do you use and sync desktop Anki regularly too? Do you have any add-ons running on desktop that impact scheduling, or that run actions in the background/on-sync/after-sync?

  4. How are you studying those 8 cards each day – in their regular deck, or in a Filtered/Custom Study deck?
