The “automatic display answer” feature of the Android app’s “customized learning process” is not functioning properly.

Have you used the toggle auto advance option from menu?

The function to automatically display answers has been enabled, but it does not work properly in the custom learning process and merged decks because my cards are audio-based, so there is no need to look at the screen. The function works normally on the computer but has some issues on Android.


Have you checked the Deck Options that apply to the particular deck – in the case of your English::Word deck – or to the particular cards that you have gathered into your Filtered decks (which I think might be what you have translated as “customized learning process”)?

Auto-Advance needs to be enabled there first – Deck Options - Anki Manual – or else turning it on in AnkiDroid settings will have no effect.

When the “automatic display answer” feature of the desktop version of Anki is running, the software doesn’t automatically stop when it loses focus; can it not stop.

You need to make sure that the cards you are pulling into your Custom/Filtered deck are coming from decks that have Auto-Advance enabled. If they are not, then Auto-Advance won’t be available.
