Hi Damien,
Thank you once again for all your work on Anki—it’s been great to see new updates and improvements.
I have another feature request that I think could make the app even more helpful, especially for users who rely on automation and routines.
Right now, I know that there are some useful URL schemes like anki://x-callback-url/addnote
, and the option to long-press the app icon to jump straight into studying (which opens the last studied deck). However, there doesn’t seem to be a way (from checking URL Schemes - AnkiMobile Manual) to open and study a specific deck directly—either through an iOS Shortcut action or a dedicated URL scheme.
It would be fantastic if there were something like:
anki://x-callback-url/study?deck=NAMEOFDECK
—or an equivalent option through Shortcuts—so we could automatically open a particular deck at a set time (for example, to make sure our daily deck opens every morning).
I think this would make it much easier to build consistent study habits, especially for those of us who like to automate our workflow on iOS.
Thank you for considering this! I really appreciate your continued work and support for the community.
