Spell checker add-on not working with 25.02.1

The spell checker add-on worked perfectly with 25.02.

I updated to 25.02.1 and after clicking Add, I get the following error and the add-on no longer works in the text fields.

I have downgraded to 25.02 in the meantime.

You’ll help the addon author a lot, if click the “Copy Debug Info” button and paste it here and into the GitHub issue

It was previously a paid add-on by Anking, but it might be released for free soon.

I didn’t know that. I was aware that AnKing had a spellchecker on Patreon but I didn’t know about this GitHub.

I have tested it on 25.02.1 and it works, so I’ll use it in the meantime.

Whoa duplicate with Anking. I fixed and customized this add-on for Anki25.02.1+, it has been partially enhanced to include download and word addition features. :white_check_mark:Anki Spell Checker - Check misspelled in the Editor (Fixed by Shigeඞ)

Works on Anki 25.02.1 macOS 15.4.1

I find that the Valentin spell checker and now Shige’s suggest the right word with higher priority than Anking’s

In the long run I recommend add-ons managed by Anking rather than other add-ons. I’m an individual and hobbyist developer but Anking is a group of medical professionals, companies are more likely to provide long-term and stable development and support than individuals.
