"Smooth graph" doesn't do anything

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to deck options → FSRS simulator.

  2. In the simulator window, toggle “Smooth graph” off.

  3. Click Simulate.

  4. Toggle “Smooth graph” on.

  5. Click Simulate.

  6. Behold…nothing has changed. The two graphs you get are identical.

Example:

@L.M.Sherlock @A_Blokee

Set the simulation time to 3650

Thank you. I hope Jarrett or Luc can explain why whether smoothing works or not depends on settings like that.

Because increasing the learn span increases the number of days used for the smoothing. If we had 10 year learn span level of smoothing all the time it would be too smooth for a 1 year learn span.

Interesting. Maybe set the smoothing window size to a fraction of “Days to simulate”, like 1/20? That way smoothing will have an effect for any value of “Days to simulate” (aside from very small values like 5 days).

I sometimes refer to '“days to simulate” as “learn span”. This is what already happens.
