Similar tools to Scratchpad?

Hi there,
I am a big fan of using Anki’s scratchpad. For some strange reason, I find that my handwriting looks unusually legible on it. My handwriting normally looks atrocious on my iPad.

  1. Is there a whiteboard/notetaking app which has a similar pen to that in Anki’s scratchpad? if not
  2. Is there a certain pen thickness, brush etc. in an app like Goodnotes to emulate the Scratchpad pen?

Thank you in advance.

I think someone wrote a reply to this post but it seems to have disappeared sadly. If you posted something, I’d really appreciate if you could re-post it - I’m very keen for any way to replicate in GoodNotes etc. as I think your message was discussing.

Unfortunately, that was just a spambot.

That’s a shame. Thank you for letting me know

Adding on an alternative question - does anyone know what thickness the default pen size is?

The scratchpad code was originally written at a time when the iPhones supported pressure sensitivity, and that obscures the code a bit. On iPads, I think it ends up being a stroke diameter of around 2 with the default pen size.

Thank you! Quick follow-up - do you by any chance know what stroke diameter 2 would be in millimetres? Apologies if this is as silly question.

I don’t think they can be mapped easily I’m afraid - it depends on the size of the screen, and its pixel density.
