Seek example for text formatting

I don’t understand the text formatting requirements. Please could you direct me to, or post an example?

is there a way to look at scripting of existing .apkg decks?

I feel like I could spend hours on the manual without answering my own question, IMHO the importing text section is not clear.

It’s not clear what your problem is. Are you trying to create a deck to be imported in Anki, and seek for information about the format Anki will recognise?

Not sure exactly what you’re attempting to do. But a start is recognizing that .apkg files are just .zip files in disguise. If you rename it with a .zip extension you can expand the file and examine the contents. It should fairly obvious from there.
