Search Function in Android Note Edit Mode

Hi everyone,

I’d like to suggest adding a search function when editing cards in the Android version of Anki.

I often use many fields, and even with just two, I sometimes write a lot of text in them. When I need to find a specific word or phrase within the fields while editing, it can be time-consuming to locate it manually.

A simple search feature in the edit screen would make it much easier and faster to find content — especially for longer notes or those with many fields.

I had a similar idea. When you search in the browser, it would be nice if the note editor highlighted the matched text.

Though, this might conflict with the text highlighting added by the user when the desktop note editor is ported to AnkiDroid.

I know this has been asked before, but just wondering if there’s any prospect of adding a feature whereby text in a search is highlighted in notes containing that text. That would be an awesome feature. It would save me hunting in my Extra fields for the word or string I searched for.
