I have been using “Flashcards” app on android for a long time. But I wanted something different for a while now. I had around 700 flashcards which I managed to import into PC version of Anki using a bit of scripting.
Now the problem is that I am not sure how i can review cards from multiple decks. Someone told me that intermixing information (like reviewing different decks at the same time) can help you in remembering cards for a long time (it was probably an EdTech video)
In nutshell, I want to review cards from different decks which need to be reviwed. I am sorry If this is a stupid question. I tried look this thing up in forums, but couldn’t find anything working
If you create an empty “parent” deck, you can put your decks under that as subdecks. Then clicking on the parent deck to study will give all of the cards from the subdecks.
Things to think about –
The parent decks and subdecks have their own daily card limits, so you may need to adjust things to make sure you’re letting enough cards through to the top level.
Let us know if you need any help choosing the right options for your setup.
[Once you get this all sorted, you might want to check out AnkiDroid, so you can use your Android device to study as well. You’ll be able to keep your collection in sync through AnkiWeb.]
thank you so much for letting me know about subdecks. I knew they existed but didn’t know they can be used in this way.
And yep I am already using AnkiDroid on my phone as well. It is awesome. I will definitely contribute the project once I get into collage after few months.
